Lets get to know Linear Inequalities first:

What is Linear Inequality:
Two real numbers or two algebraic expressions related by the symbols less\ than,\ more\ than\ or\ less\ or\ more\ or\ equal form an inequality
For Ex.
15x less\ than 150
2x + 3y less\ than 35
0 less\ than 1
4x + 3y less than equal to\ 75
Linear Inequality Rules:
Rule 1: Equal numbers may be added to or subtracted from both sides of equation. This does not affect the sign of inequality.
For Ex.
15x less\ than 150
Rule 2: Both sides can be multiplied or divided by the same positive number without affecting the sign of inequality but in case of negative number sign will be reversed.
For Ex.
2 less\ than 5
