Found a U-Pick Flower Farm - This is a Gardeners Dream

The Van Houtte Farms in Armada, Michigan (Est. 1991) is a Gardeners HEAVEN!!! I love the variety of flower and all the colors they come in. The family is so sweet and makes picking flower are great event for the whole family/friends. (Great Gift Idea, Wedding and Event Opportunities...the ideas are endless)

fun ! but when you chop the plant all the way to the ground you kill that plant and keep it from producing more flowers during that season. Leave at least 2 or 3 sets of leaves so it can produce more stems. This is true for multi stemmed plants: zinnias, marigolds, daliahs, etc. Doesn't apply to one flower wonders such as tall sunflowers, gladiolas and tulips. The purple ball like flower was gomphrena.
