I'm native Ladakhi and Buddhist, but we don't do wishes upon these stack but rather we believe that after death, we'd encounter demonic creature and during those time we believe we could somehow hide behind these stack, that's why it is very important for us to observe and mediate on mask dance, so that we can understand who are harmful or harmless are the fierce creature are.
