I would put Apple in "Very solid tier" instead of "GOAT"

They did improve a few things in software, but the C type is 2.0 & no other noteworthy upgrade in hardware.
Also hiked prices as well. (If google get's penalty for Price hiking then Apple should as well)

- The biggest Con we observed in the electronic market(smartphone+ watches+ Bluetooth Tws) was the huge price fluctuations.
I mean the person who is buying anything at the launching price will definitely gets disappointed after 3-4 months by looking at the sudden price drop. I bought Amazfit watch at 10k and exactly after 1 year it was 5.5k and it was really very disappointing to see such a huge drop.

- Secondly as Pratik said that moto need to focus on camera and software. I Highly Agree with you words man. I am using Moto G series and I felt utterly disappointed on camera department. If we talk about other aspects like software, display, design, battery then it's 9/10.
In camera Moto hardly stands anywhere.

- Another Big headache was the accesories of the newly popular brands like Moto, lava, infinix, Realme, xiaomi. Market is already full of accessories of the older smartphone brands (Samsung, apple, vivo, oppo). Maybe in the coming year the accessories will be available easily in the market.

I do not understand your hate for Google, I have been using Google devices since pixel 4a, then 6a now 7a. Pixel phones are not over promising anything rather they are delivering on the promises they have made. No security issue, minimal to no glitches, timely software update, God tier cameras, God tier haptics, great size and in hand feel and good day to day performance. It would be really interesting to know how much of the population actually cares about top notch performance, except for hardcore gamers. And again Google never said Pixel is a good gaming phone.
Hear me out, after using the pixel 6a, I suggested, and quite frankly forced even, to buy 5 of my friends to buy a pixel instead of nothing, vivo and Samsung. All of them doubted but eventually got the phone and now they thank me for forcing them to buy a pixel. Pixel is an experience, more than a phone and way more than a spec list. Get a pixel, even if you're in doubt. You'll love it, if you don't have unrealistic expectations from it.

And yes, the introductory pricing of Google in India sucks. But come on, pixel 7 for 35-36k? 7a for 30-33k? 7pro for 52-55k? And heck 8 for 60k?? You can't beat these! (Coming from a user who have extensively used Galaxy S 21 FE for months)

You say Vivo didn't make too many changes but put Apple in goat for using the selling phone again.
You said Pixel is overpriced, but put Apple in Goat😂
Samsung did nothing new and is still in Goat.

Iqoo deserves goat tier, with the launch of iqoo 12, which everyone didn't expect to come at that price range and funtouch is improved a lot and still improving and I am using iqoo neo 7 pro and it is really good .

In MKBHD blind camera test Pixel 7a Won in Standard. Pixel 8 pro won in Portrait and Pixel 8 pro came 2nd in low light photos and these guys are says it is not good 😅

Google at least deserves did the job tire, me and my friend we both have been using pixel 7 and 7 pro and there hasn't been any issue(s) so far and the camera experience is just outstanding, whenever I post pictures everyone just asks one question "Which phone camera is it? It's too good" and performance? hasn't overheated and no network issues so far (9 months) :)

Google did not deserve to be that low. they did gave us lot of great software AI features which are really useable in real life.

Apple also have heating issues, they still using 60hz, apple type c is slow as hell and they are overpriced. especially in base version.
Their hardware changes does not make any noticeable difference in practicality...

The thing you said about the pixel that you buy phone for what the phone currently offers. I disagree because people buy phones considering how long the manufacturer is going to provide software update despite knowing manufacturers may or may not be able to keep their promise.
Software updates bring new software features for them as well.

Google Pixel should be in the very solid tier coz it has improved a lot this year. Be it the top notch flagship display or updates or software experience. Camera will get improved after updates eventually. Heating issues is something they have to work on but Pixel 8 is around 59k with bank discounts is a really good deal. It should be in very solid tier.

Completely agree with Samsung A series in GOAT along with their s23 flagships. They were bang on, value for money!

I've personally used Samsung M series phones before in 2020-2022, and it was solid back then. Better value for money than any other brand and most reliable. It lacked some OneUI features but still pretty solid.
But this year they were disappointing, not much innovation and no addition of better features.
Hopefully they do well next year!

Disagree with google and apple
literally almost every blind test conducted proved that google pixel's photos are the most prefered by people without showing them the device to prevent bias but the only issue i agree with is the processor since it is based on same samsung's exynos chip hence explains the thermal problems and not stable performance.
about apple, how is it goat tier??? just because they implemented the most basic thing usb c that too EU forced them.Moreover, only their cameras are enhanced and faster but overall overrated

I think that honor should be in the last tier. And google should be in did the job as these issues have been since the return of pixel in india.
Edit: Also even samsung flagships should be in very solid tier (due to s23fe) and moto in did the job as nothing has changed and apple should also go down to very solid due to durability issues in their pro series phones

Pixel 6a won last year's blind camera test by MKBHD (probably beating Pixel 7).

Pixel 7a has won this year's blind camera test by MKBHD beating all of this year's flagships including Google's own flagships.

Pixel 8 won the segment for portrait photos in that same test.

That tells you a lot about what people like and how good the camera system of pixels are.

Get a Pixel, eyes closed. Because, in India at least, most people will make a jump from Realme Oppo Vivo Xiaomi and cheaper Samsungs to Pixel (most probably the 'a' lineup), that will make a big change to your usage of a phone. Pixel will give you an experience that you've never had. And trust me, you're gonna love it. (And again, don't have unrealistic expectations, because it doesn't promise to do those things.)
