I thought it was wood at first. I have copper scales on a Kizer Towswer. They patina nicely, and you can etch all kinds of designs as well

My pm2 has had the copper scales shipwrecked then back to polished and not it’s got a mustard kinda patina on it and the other side has a greenish look to it
