A $650B+ market cap (Elon thinks $1T+ is possible), $175B+ in revenue, $14B+ in profits ... and 0 compensation for Musk if the company cannot cross a market capitalization of $100B within the next decade. The thing is TIMING, go check out 2012 CEO performance award, less than a year later the stock went 10x. I expect there will be a huge upside in the coming 24 months, very likely as insane as 2013.

Don't forget that if Tesla sells any new shares to fund their growth -- a tactic that's quite common -- it will dilute your ownership.  So, if the market capitalization increases by 10x but your ownership is diluted by 2x, your investment will have only increased by 5x.

Elon has said in the past that he does not spend much time watching the stock price, it's irrelevant to him. Still now his reward will be directly tied to the stock price. I wonder if this is just a way to get back at the shorts who have spread all kinds of rubbish about his companies. If he makes the targets they stand to be wiped out (assuming that has not already happened to them).
