“Priority” in this sense refers to processing priority in relation to CPU tasks and has virtually no effect on download speeds. The biggest limiting factors are you actually internet bandwidth and the speed of the storage device you’re downloading to.
Not to mention that, in Windows, TCP/IP (aka internet/network) processes are actually handled by a dedicated service, not the individual program. So if you have a weaker CPU, you could actually be negatively impacting your download speeds by doing this.
Best practice is to let the machine operate the way it was designed to

Would sonething similar work with EA? I download on steam at 115 mbps. My ea download speed is like 1 mb. It doesnt even run my computer hard enought to turn the fans on when its downloading on EA
