iOS 17.0.2 Battery Life / Battery Drain / Battery Performance Test.

iOS 17.0.2 was released September 27, 2023

This video was shot more than 36 hours after iOS 17.0.2 was installed, normally I will let it sit for a few days to settle in, but
thought I would give it a go with just 36 hours. I monitored the CPU it was idle for the last 2 hours before the test was started so
nothing seemed to be going on on the devices. I will however run the rest again in a few days and update the scores here in the comments.

Before the test was run the devices were set to 25% display brightness, auto brightness has been disabled, all devices use same settings, and are connected to the same access point.

How Geekbench works :

Geekbench 4 battery scores measure the battery life of a device when running processor-intensive applications. It provides a consistent workload to the device, and generates a Geekbench score by evaluating the amount of work that it is able to do while the battery is discharging and the amount of time it takes for the battery to discharge.

The battery benchmark can be run in Full Discharge mode, from 100% to 0% battery level, to provide a high level of confidence in a device's battery performance. The battery benchmark can also be run in Partial Discharge mode, for 3 hours. If the battery benchmark is stopped after 10 minutes, by the user or by the battery reaching 0%, then the result will be saved and can be uploaded. Battery benchmark scores gathered by any method except the Full Discharge mode provide a medium level of confidence in a device's battery performance, and longer tests are more reliable.

When comparing scores, remember that higher scores are better, and double the score indicates double the performance.

Starting today videos will be posted early to Bronze Members.

Bronze Membership cost as little as 3$, less than a StarBucks Coffee.

But it will make a huge difference in my ability to add new devices to the channel. So hopefully
many of you will join in at the Bronze level. If not the videos will go public a little later for you.

The only time I remember apple publicly saying that they fixed battery drain issues was in iOS 15.4.1 in the notes they said they fixed it but never did it again iPhones have always had battery life for years when the new comes out it will be great but once it’s time for the next iPhone that one battery drops significantly Apple uses small batteries, poor cooling and poor updates for company so large this can’t be a error or mistake it has to be deliberate to generate income

I will recommend all to not upgrade yet, to any software version if your phone doesn’t seems to have lot bugs or having issue like green screen n tint issue, coz that’s not software but a hardware issue, that has not been claimed by apple in quality control it’s always advisable to test new phone as u buy so u can always return in 7 day 15days policy, if u have any of this issue go to apple centre directly n replace it.
Secondly it’s not a first time apple does it, every year for more sale of new iPhone new bugs are released along side software update telling for the security updates and that’s exactly bullshit, you can clearly see how there is huge difference B/w 16.6.1 n 16.7 n now 17.2 that’s just degrading your iPhone so u can upgrade to the newer ones, meanwhile those same models works fabulous untill 6 months of releasing of new iPhones.
iPhone 12 on ios 16.2 could easily give 6h 40 min n now it can hardly withstand iPhone 11
Seriously wtf is wrong with apple, deliberately degrading there own devices with software bugs in name of software update to force people to upgrade lol.
We don’t need new iPhones every year n software updates every week.
We need fixes(hopefully there is nothing to fix, if they wont plant it)
And don’t even get me started on innovation for iphones😂

How is the battery life in iPhone 14 Pro Max on iOS 17.0.3 compared to iOS 17.0 or iOS 16.6.1? I'm on iOS 16.6.1 (I came back from iOS 17.0) because there was huge lag
