Is setting up a minor trust fund a good idea to invest for my kid ? Bonds ?

My goal is to get her to buy investment properties when she turns 18 and in the process educate her to how to manage finance at an early age

What you did with your younger sister sounds like the kind of set up I want to do for my grandkids. What’s the plan for when you want to give her the money/shares will you cash it out or can you transfer the account to her name. Do you pay CGT on cash ?
