Lost one of the great one's today. One of the truest statements ever was ....'there was black music before sly stone, and black music after sly stone. We lost him years ago to drugs and the streets but his legend lived on. At least he has found peace now. Thanks bro. true genius and originator.

I saw Sly & the Family Stone back in the late 60's in Redwood City Calif at a club called The Cathedral. They showed up in pajamas and played like no other. I listened to Sly when he was a DJ in San Francisco on Radio KSOL. RIP brother
