What is touch?

What is touch? Or what do you mean by touching something? you may think touching is simply making contact with the substance or any matters . But on the atomic level the electrons on your skin repell the electron which is on the lattice surface of the matter you are trying to make contact with. And the repulsion between electrons of your hand and electrons of any substance or matter does not lets you to make contact with one another. And if you are not touching the matter,then how can you feel the sensation of state or friction of that matter which you are touching? The simple answer would be the sensation you feel when you say you are touching something is the electrostatic force between the electrons of your hand and electrons of any substance or matter. So anything you touch and the sensation you feel after touching it is the sensation of electrostatic force between the electrons.
