My church is very bad on speech intelligibility. I thought it was because my aging ears were the issue. However, while I do have some measurable hearing loss I believe the issue is more due to acoustic properties causing speech intelligibility because other members of the congregation complain of the same issues so it’s not just me. Hi Dennis, i have a question.
I had a discussion about the "center channel" in home cinemas.
What is the "center channel" basically? A "mono" signal or a "discrete channel"?
For me it is a discrete audio channel and has nothing do to with "mono".

A "mono" signal will be recorded with one microphone, but a "center channel" signal is a discrete full dialogue signal mixed in post production.

Am i wright or wrong? :D

In Germany churches are 40 to 70 foot large from wall to wall
So you Dont have Low end Problems
But reverb and delay Problems you can maybe solve with transparent accustic panels
Windows in German churches starting about five Meters high and IS Like 5m2 big
