What are some titles you feel are better on a weaker system?

There’s something hysterical about Batman crossing the street at a crosswalk and waiting for traffic to let him pass.

That post credit skit was one of the best ones he's done. And he looked to be just a teenager. He sure has been doing this awhile.

Excellent episode. I was working on a similar topic but you nailed this so well I can put that to rest.

Man, the editing on the end skit is TIGHT. It avoids that mistake that everyone makes, where there's a silence between each "character's" reply. Feels like real dialogue, kudos 1992 Joe!

22:15 fun fact: The Master System version was officially credited to Sega, but in fact it was developed under contract by a brand new (at the time) studio called Arc System Works!

Your sense of humor hasn't changed since '92, that's cool lol

Joe’s hair looked better on a weaker system.

Did he dislike his own video? 💀

I actually like that you've been doing this for 30 years, because you have to come up with some pretty unique subjects.

Hey Joe, long time viewer here. I just wanted to thank you for keeping Gamesack going. It's been my favorite gaming channel since before Dave had to leave. Keep doing your thing man, it's much appreciated by us boomers here who grew up with the all these systems you cover

I never played Lunar on the PS1, but I have the Sega CD version and can say without even bothering to hear the PS1 version, they shouldn't have touched the music. Lunar the Silver Star music on the Sega CD is some of the best in any game I've played.

Great video. I have a suggestion for next time you do this: Rodea the Sky Soldier Wii >>> Rodea the Sky Soldier Wii U. (2015)

Rodea the Sky Soldier Wii is a pretty fantastic Wii game, feeling like a much improved descendant of Nights into Dreams. It was finished way too late in the Wii's lifespan to release so they ported it to 3DS and then upressed the 3DS version for Wii U and the Wii U version was notoriously awful. When it came out the Wii U version included the Wii Version as a "bonus" but it was the actual main product. The poor game got destroyed in reviews because the reviewers were reviewing the terrible Wii U version and treated the Wii version like a bonus rather than the main product, which is what it really was.

I'm one of the I think very very few proud owners of Rodea the Sky Soldier and still love it (Wii version) despite what everyone says about it.

Game Sack always comes up with such interesting topics for retro game videos!

The only things SMS Batman Returns did better over Game Gear was having a higher framerate and not "resetting" a boss fight for dying... only a Game Over can cause a reset (really lives counter is more like a HP counter lol).

Fun fact:
SMS Batman has a wrong warp glitch where if you damage boost yourself onto the bus and then land on top of it, by holding right to touch the edge of the screen you wrong warp to level 5. Speedruns use Route 2 for lv1 because the wrong warp takes Batman to level 5-4, the last platforming segment before the boss.

Lastly, I still think GG Batman Returns and GG Shinobi games share the same engine.
1) Same framerate
2) Similar lifebar hud
3) Similar grapple swings
4) Separate screen for magic

I'm surprised Rodea The Sky Soldier didn't show up in this topic, probably one of the most emblematic examples

When you realize that Joe Redifer from the Joe Redifer Show (later renamed) has had the same style and sense of humor to his sketches since 1992
