Learn the Alphabet - Letter D | Phonics for Kids | Preschool and Kindergarten
The alphabets are the basics of the child’s learning process. This will form the base of everything that the child is going to learn therefore it is very important that this base is strong, and the child goes with clear concepts to the next standard.
Learning the alphabets can be made very easy for the kids by making it fun for them. The more they enjoy learning this process, the more quickly they will learn.
If your child has learned the letters A, B, C, let’s move on to the letter D now. So how can your child learn letter D?
Learn letter D
So how can you teach your child the letter D. Let’s start.

1. First, you show them the letter written somewhere.

D

2. Then you show them how it is written.

• Draw the first line.
• Then draw the circle in one go.

Use a chalk or a pencil or ay colorful crayon or marker to make this more interesting to the kid.

3. Then you need to teach the kid the sound of D.

The first sound is ‘deh’, which is the sound in Dog.
Repeat the sounds again and again to the kid so that he/she is well able to learn and recognize it in different places.
The kid will be best able to learn when it is taught with real examples. The things that the kid has seen and knows the name of but does not know that it is actually from the alphabets.
So what examples can you give?

Let me help you out.

1. Dad
2. Drum
3. Door
4. Dustbin
5. Desk

The kid would learn the best if the child also sees the picture of these things alongside learning the pronunciation of words. It will make things much clearer in their mind and they will be able to associate words with actual things which are very good for their learning.
