Hey Everyone! This is a sponsored video for Fesley, a brand known for its remarkable entry-level instruments—especially the guitar I’m playing in this video, the FLP350. I must say, this is perhaps the best entry-level guitar I’ve played yet. I was particularly impressed with the fretwork on this instrument. Additionally, the humbuckers sound fantastic, and the guitar is very lightweight considering its thin body. I highly recommend this guitar to anyone looking to start their journey with an electric guitar. Be sure to check the links in the description for a limited-time promo code for those interested.

Thank you for your requests for this song! I’m sharing it not only because it’s a classic from the 90s, but also because I personally struggled to figure out the chords when I was developing my ear for music. So for anyone else in the same boat, this tab is for you!

I’m confident that all the positions in this tab are accurate. I listened to the isolated guitar track for this song, and the only differences between my tab and how DeLeo plays it live are:

- In measure 6, beat 2, DeLeo slides back to the 2nd fret on the B string live, rather than playing the 6th fret on the G string.
- In measure 33, DeLeo plays the A major barre chord at the 5th fret instead of the open Asus2 (in the studio version, there is clearly an Asus2 being played).

That’s it! I really enjoyed playing this song. The backing track is especially fun to jam along with, and you can find it on my Patreon page. I also appreciate Robert DeLeo’s work on the bass lines, which you can clearly hear in the jam track.

Thanks for giving some love to STP, that song feels so overlooked and should remind everyone how special that band was

I love all the "weird' chords Dean sneaks into STP songs.

Dean DeLeo is such a great player. One of the best to come out of the 90s.

This is how you make a pop song that's musically interesting and sounds glorious, then, now, and forever, unlike the bulk of instantly forgettable 4 basic chord repetition that's pumped these days. Thanks, good stuff.

Years ago I took my time, watched all the videos of live performances, paid attention when I saw them live several times, and listened to the recording over and over until I was sure I had the chord voicings right. Turns out.... I was spot on. I love this song, I love this band.

I got back to listening to STP a lot again after a month, it's such a coincidence that you released this ❤, still my favorite 90s song by my favorite 90s band, thanks a lot 🙌🏻

Oh, the memories. 1993 - Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. J-Quad. I was on CQ duty and someone from 25th Transportation Company next door was trying to figure out the intro to "Plush". Four hours of solid, repetitive pain. Somehow, I believe my experience in 1994 is what led Mr. Tabs to do what he is doing now.

I was never big on the whole grunge era, but I have to admit, that's some pretty amazing guitar. Great hook, awesome intro, and a lot of really interesting chords. Maybe I'll have to revisit that era.
