When I click on Get Genuine Office it takes me to a Get Office 365 page. My office 2019 is Genuine. Is this a way to sell 365? Is there a way to stop the message?

This...works. Thank you. Note out to everyone that, the update that occurs after running the cmd can take a while, but no problem otherwise. Just have to be patient. Subscribed to this generous genius.

omg thank you man this has been driving me crazy for years. Tried many other solutions and this one finally, finally turned off that annoying banner. Like other commenters have said, it did take me a while during the 'checking for updates' part, like 5 minutes of churning so just be patient. Thank you Yidnek!!

It works if you leave the version numbers off. after the = sign, just leave it blank and hit enter. Worked for me and I have the 2019 version of Office

"If you were in front of me, I'd hug you!" Have had this issue for the past year, sorta got used to it when opening Office doc's but has always pissed me off. Followed your directions and 'Voila!' no more 'Yellow Bar' or message! Let's just hope it doesn't come back to haunt me again! Thanks a bunch! 🙂 P.S. Don't suppose you know how to get rid of 'Hyperlink' warning messages. Every time I click on a hyperlink in my PowerPoint doc I get a message that says - "Some files contain viruses or otherwise be harmful to your computer etc...etc..." The link opens ok, I wish I could turn off these annoying warning messages!
