More confirmation of SA's jobs crisis

There’s been yet more confirmation of SA's jobs crisis today with
Stats SA announcing that while the number of employed people has risen
to 15.9 million in the last three months of 2022.

The number of unemployed people is officially 7.8 million.

But the number of people who are not economically active is around 13.4 million.

So if i understand Lindi's solution correctly is that basically government must abolish tenders(not that I support the tender system in any case) and in turn government must employ all the unemployed through a re-industrialisation programme and then hand out land to the other unemployed people not part of this massive employment drive by government in the re-industrialisation programme to farm these lands which of course is also going to need extensive funding from government for it to work, assuming all of these interventions are going to be corruption free and assuming that those employed will actually do their jobs and not see it as free money and perform no tasks as required or strike for higher salaries at adrop of a coin and assuming that there will be enough taxpayers willing to fund such a venture despite all the other failed programmes that was instituted by this government previously. So now not only is the government's already bloated civil service going to have to be expanded even more by making the state the official employment agency of the country thereby increasing the wage bill exponentially.Where is the funds going to come from the fix eskom pay social grants like child support etc.and the myriad of other free services that is currently provided on top of that make sure that all other function of the state is operating optimally.Forgive my scepticism; this government is just not capable to do any of this.Let me say this though the government can only provide the environment for the private sector to create jobs it cannot create jobs itself that is not the function of government.

When longer the poor depend on a government to create jobs or get handouts the worse it will be for them. Businesses create jobs and wealth, not governments
