Double standards, even by Hawking, a so-called 'brilliant' academic who is misinformed about the facts, not the lies, about Israel. Hawking uses technology designed in Israel yet has shown lack of moral courage. Open dialogue promoting change [not boycotts] is only way to peace.

The video clearly states that Stephen Hawking bowed to pressure of Palestinian scientists or he would have attended. Israel provides the technology he uses to speak and ambulate. I don't blame Mr. Hawking, and I hope that the world listens to him on CERN.

Hawking has an opinion and is not afraid to say it, because he has absolutely nothing to loose. Most public people are afraid to have opinions against the behavior of the great state of Israel, are afraid to be labeled an antisemite, an ignorant.

This is some of the worst journalism I have ever witnessed. In what way is Hawking's illness, or his reliance on Israeli technology, at all relevant to the validity of his political dissent? If anything, shouldn't he be biased to support Israel? The fact that he does not should be a red flag. I don't think that Israel can afford to ignore his intellectual and moral high ground.

How much I wish all Jewish were as you, and my friends long ago. I would travel to Israel to help. I can close my eyes and see such a place... one day.... or as the prayer 'tomorrow Israel'.
