its a shame the emulation community harassed the Aethersx2 developer to the point he quit working on it..

Hey ETA,
I just wanted to say that I've been watching your videos for years now. My family and I always enjoy your comprehensive videos, pleasant and entertaining videos and informed research. Thank you and looking forward to many more videos!

Other boards do it all fine by now but the Raspberry still has the best support and ecosystem long-term.
Really cool seeing those games run in the first place.

Can’t wait my local Pi dealer will open orders for pi5 boards to finlay touch it. Thanks for the video. Appreciate to see overclocking and performance comparison with CM4

I was looking forward on you doing this on the raspberry pi 5.

Impressive that the "semi-cheap" SBC Pi can run PS2. Many PS2 games are 60fps though. Makes you wonder how much more powerful a Pi 6 will be in 4-5 years from now.

Retropie developers will probably include this in their 2024 pi5 release.

I would really like to see an Orange Pi 5 plus/Raspberry Pi 5 comparison video.

On the Raspberry Pi 4, I've found that with the latest version of AetherSX2 a combination of lower EE Cycle Rate AND EE Cycle Skipping makes a big difference.
But only changing one of the two did nothing.

I hope the ps2, GameCube, ds, wii and psp emulation can be polished soon enough, I’d love to have a whole archive at my fingertips.

I was a real RP enthusiast, but fell off the wagon when it was (and still) impossible to get a Pi4 or a CM4. The new generation of mini pcs with intel and AMD processers just smoke these for not much more money, and are everywhere. It's a hard sell to get me to go back, but for those that choose to stick with them I hope they keep supplies adequate this time around. I still like the Zeros for tiny tasks, and for security cams, but a Minisforum PC can do so much more in almost the same footprint.

Dude. Your critical but honest review makes me think you are legit.

I was considering this or a minipc. This just sold me on a minipc.

I'm happy already that with PI5 I will be able to emulate some of the heavy arcade machine games, live Cave CV1000 games. Anything that comes more is a bonus.

Do you plan on doing any comparison benchmarks on the Raspberry Pi 5 vs the Orange Pi 5?

All the dev stuff aside, I would just get a mini pc. :D
But this would be great if Nintendo wanted to bring out an N64 mini with a board just like this one. :0
