How she easily thwarted his kiss and pushes him down just proves how Max is just too young and not a perfect match for her. His pleading just made him sound like a little boy, which he is.

This scene was filmed at the Lower School of The Kinkaid School in Houston. The brown building you can see through the windows was Yellow Door, a nickname for the school's Pre-K. Both buildings have since been torn down and replaced.
