Here is my bass cover of U2 and Green Days' version of "The Saints Are Coming." This song was originally done by The Skids. This version was released in 2006 on U2's compilation album "18 Singles." This features 2 bass parts, one by Mike Dirnt and one by Adam Clayton. This cover combines the two. There is no bass in the intro but I added it when Bono comes in.

LOVE this song, man. I've never really been a fan of Green Day but they played this one so well with U2. And I never actually knew who played the bass on this one... my mind was blown when I read in your description that both Adam and Mike played in this one 😱 beautiful cover, Thom. Well done. I enjoyed it. I'm new to picks so I was focussing on that.

I have mixed feelings about this song. I'm not sure what everyone else feels.

The intro and verses are very beautiful. The song builds up for about 2 min and then the chorus starts. It's like they are two different songs bolted together. I like the rhythm of parts of the chorus but it is so repetitive. I think there is a lot of talent wasted and it might have benefited from a section between each half.

Just my opinion but still love the song.
