HOW TO GET IN AND OUT OF THE SINKHOLE | The Forest

In this video of The Forest, I show you how to get in and out of the sinkhole. I don't use glitches through this, so it will work on all platforms and won't be outdated (hopefully). You can get to the sinkhole in about 5 to 10 minutes, depending on how gud you are.

Due to the difficulty and unpredictability using the turtle shell and climbing axe, I decided to make a walk through to the sinkhole. After doing it, I realized that you can go through the cave and reach the bottom or top in just over 5 minutes. Though I will admit, it isn't as fun as using the turtle shell or climbing axe haha.

Thank you! So many videos show you how to get to the bottom of the sinkhole, but few show you how to get out. I blundered my way to the big metal door only to discover I didn’t have the keycard. I found my way back to the sinkhole, but got lost for 3 hours trying to get out of it. Depleted all my supplies trying to stay alive. Finally, I turned to youtube. After 4 or 5 unhelpful videos, I found yours and got right out.

Plus, I love your other videos. Many youtube gamers are so good, the tutorials are useless to a gaming newb like me. But, even if I can’t fight the cannibals and mutants as good as you do(I’m pretty hopeless in that respect), I’ve gained enough information and tips from your videos that I’ve manage to stay alive for 30 days (so far). I’ve got most of the crafted items (pouches and such), all of the weapons, and a full houseboat of gear. As soon as my backpack is full of ammo and bombs, I’m going to save Timmy!

if anyone wants to skip the cave stuff just build a zip line that goes across the sinkhole and just let go at the middle, the enemies were pretty easy for me and my friend to kill considering we previously had the hardest time

also if you’re playing co op go one at a time because two or more players will break the zip line from what I’ve heard

I figured out if you hug the walls of the hole and jump only on the ledges it seems to work, but have the shell just in case

i know this video is 5 years old but wanted to comment as someone whos finally getting back into this game that 1- this was so very helpful as someone who gets lost in the caves constantly and ended up playing this as a home builder survival horror game 😅 2- if you can keep the red paint on, the non-mutated cannibals will (for the most part) leave you alone! didnt put two and two together for the longest time cause i never was around them when id have the paint and never remembered the start of the game 😂

I discovered that you can use the climbing axe on the frame of the metal door that lets you in the sinkhole. If you can maneuver, you can get out of the sinkhole. This does work on 1.09

My friend and I decided to parkour our way down into the sinkhole without really considering how we'd get out again and we got lost many times in the caves trying to find our way out

Me and my friends have our own way to do it, it took us 20 mins to find a way down the hole. we went down the side of the hole and had someone go down the caves to open the door.

That cave entrance literally looks like a cave I know in real life it's so unreal how similar it is you wouldn't believe it man
