Injectable steroid injection like Solu-Medrol may have helped the nickel/allergic reaction? It does look like it's improving now, I'm sure you are thankful for that. It was hard to see you go though that. Your decollate/neck looked so inflamed and irritated. I'm sure the topical steroid cream and Benadryl creams were burning.
The physician I worked for would order solumedrol (injectable steroid) and medications like Solumedrol for me to give to patients with allergic reactions like that. Seemed to help clear it up a bit quicker in some cases. I forget at the moment what the other name of the med we started carrying instead of the solumedrol was... I have been disabled for several years from nursing and I hate that I'm forgetting things like this... Not using my nursing skills has made me start forgetting some of the small details... I hate it. Makes me nuts when I can't recall things.
