It’s nice to know there is a community of strangers who knows the feeling of what we go through and that supports each other rather than our own family. It’s hard to go through this without being able to explain to someone you love why you’re feeling this bc all you can do is cry. You’re doing great, we’re doing great, and we can get through this 🫶

To anyone reading this while listening to this music, I know what you feel, you’re probably even crying right now, but whatever can happen to you is nothing compared to what you have accomplished and who you are. You are an amazing person and never let anyone make you feel otherwise. You might be having a bad time, but behind walls is always happiness. If you are like me and found this video randomly. I needed this. Life has been so stressful lately. I love the comments and I hope the world is still like that. Most are from a year ago. I know a year isn't long, but for me so much has happened. From ending a marriage to my best friend, job problems, starting over, moving, and just trying to keep my energy up. You arent alone...and for whoever needs to hear this, dont leave this world yet, it does get better. Its been about 10 years for me, if I would have I would have missed so much.

Think about plants, the sound of water, the sound of birds, the life that is outside, your loved ones, the strange fact that you are surrounded by more objects than living beings, think about a dirty and messy space and now imagine it clean and tidy, your mind should also clear up of the mess, close your eyes and focus on your breathing, when you hear your own breathing, do you now realize that you are also a living being? It is fascinating, sometimes we can forget obvious things like that but yes, you are alive and that is a good thing. You have done well, you will do well, trust in yourself. I'm a PhD student and I have a progress report due within the next 36 hours and I have zero motivation to start it. I don't know how but I just somehow find the courage to get up, make some tea, dim the lights in my room, turn on the twinkle lights, found this playlist so started playing it in the background and I feel I might just have the energy to start again..

My mom had been diagnosed with stomach cancer a couple of weeks ago, I thought I was handling it pretty well until today, because tomorrow or the day after we'll know how far it's along, and I feel like today is my last day of "normal", and my world can collapse very very soon. I'll probably be looping this for the foreseeable future...

Sometimes when I have to look at e-Mails or do paperwork I get so stressed out that I want to go into avoidance /procrastination mode. Instead I put on music like that and it helps me calm down enough to get through it.
If anyone else struggles with this, I hope you know that putting yourself down for feeling this way doesn't help you. Force yourself to face your fears, yes, but also give yourself grace and re-assure yourself instead. You deserve love, most of all from yourself. You got this! 💪

To everyone who's studying with this music:

Checklist:

• A bottle of water, at least 1 liter. Your brain works better if it has enough water and drinking helps you to concentrate💧



• Your charger. You sometimes don't even notice that your device's battery is going down, so better have it plugged in all the time🔋



• Your headphones. You will be able to focus more with headphones, because it blocks background noises. Also, if it's a late night study session, you won't wake up anyone🎧



• a tea or coffee. Coffee keeps you awake, green or black tea can make you feel more awake as well.☕



• Your study/work stuff: your laptop/tablet/phone, a few pens, paper or whatever you need.⌨



•Anything else you could need, what about a heat pad, a blanket, a good lamp, your pet so you have a study buddy 🐈





Reminder : After an hour, you should stand up and walk a bit around. Better stop the music or put on different music for the break. Open your window, even if it's cold outside. Fresh air will make it better, trust me.

You could also lay your head down on your desk for ten minutes and listen to a podcast. Or, if you have to read a book, listen to the audiobook of it. You can also listen to the audiobook while doing another thing, that's even better than listening to music while reading the book.

As a teenager I found my classmates insufferable, noisy, narcissistic, rude and spoiled who took no responsibility for anything. It was the time when my social anxiety increased, but it was also one of my best times, I loved school! The routines were strenuous with classes from 7:30 AM to 4 PM, I got up every day at 5 AM to prepare my breakfast, tidy up my bedroom and look good in my uniform. My parents worked a lot, sometimes my father made me breakfast because he woke up earlier. School was nerve wracking because there was always something new, but it was wonderful to discover and investigate and learn. My professors were fantastic, except for the finance professor who was a pompous idiot who was there because he didn't give him anything else to do. University was really hard, with more hours of study but a time off from social anxiety because I met a million geeks and made interesting friendships with all kinds of people with varied interests and points of view. And at that time was when I began to take the first steps to discover myself as an individual and my most personal tastes, it was a stage of learning, accepting and enjoying that adult personality.
Now that I am a working woman, the experiences I have lived through help me relativize and do a lot to manage my social anxiety. My anxiety is part of me, but it does not frustrate me, although it is exhausting, it helps me to promote other areas of my life, to get to know myself at this stage and to appreciate more the people who are with me here and now. Anxiety is exhausting and I am always looking for resources to help me slow down, breathe and balance. This video is great for any of those times when you need to get your heart rate up to a nice, smooth tune without that being all you do. Merci!!!
