The day after Bernie Sanders’ speech at the DNC, Hasan has some follow up questions for the Senator, like “What exactly did you mean by a ceasefire in Gaza?” and “What do I tell my friends who have given up on politics?” and “Do you ever feel like blowing your brains out?”

Yes, I know, Star Wars: A New Hope was actually in theaters in 1977, not 1978. Please don’t fact check me.

Never understood how Americans call him “radical” and dude is just fighting for basic stuff that are normal all over the world, even in capitalists countries.

I have no idea how this man has maintained sanity screaming common sense into the void for his entire adult life. A lesser man, myself included, would lose it. You can say whatever you want about Bernie Sanders, but you can never take that away from him—this man has been FIGHTING TOOTH AND NAIL for basic human rights and the middle class vs autocrats and the obscenely wealthy. I cannot possibly show enough respect to Bernie Sanders, and the fact that he never got the support he needed to become president keeps me up at night, sometimes.

He’s so focused and clear. I am continuously impressed by his stubbornness and efforts to make change! Thank you Bernie

"Senator Sanders, do you ever feel like blowing your brains out?" "Occasionally" God damn 😂 Can't blame him.

Seeing Bernie still get fired up like he does at least gives me a shred of hope that we’re not too far gone in this country.

“Do not minimize the differences that exist between progressives and corporate democrats” boom. He is still fighting in his own way.

I watched Obama's interview then I watched this one. It is so nice to listen to Bernie talk
without measuring and calculating every damn word that comes out of his mouth. It was so nice for Bernie to actually say things and be honest.

I walked past Bernie Sanders while interning in the Senate years ago. The 6 feet thing is true, man loomed

The fact that Bernie has not gone completely insane from trying to push the party that is more on the side of the people to stop ignoring the interests of the people is such a testament to his character and his capacity for hope. Absolutely love him.

After every roadblock Bernie has had to face in his life and career, he has not dropped out. So, neither should we.
Great interview.

Thank you for this interview! As an European, this gentleman is an average social democrat, not a "far-left" individual. The US lost a hell of an opportunity when not choosing Bernie a couple of years ago. Fortunately, you can listen to him, go to the streets, and be more active. I'll certainly do the same in Portugal, and try to reduce the borders of polarization (which for sure is super limited, but I'll do what I can).
Power to the people.

Makes me sad we never got to have President Sanders. Thank you for this amazing interview. Thank you, Bernie, for fighting for the people.

Bernie's face at "Ketamine and Zyns" fucking kills me. I don't think he understands us, but he definitely fucking loves us.

Man, i wish Bernie a long, healthy life. The world doesn't deserve him, but we need him!

As a Canadian, I think this guy is easily the most practical, intelligent politician in US Senate. Moreover has actual morals and ethics.

I love that he said “I don’t know that we know the answer to that” Not enough people are brave enough to say that.
