Has anyone noticed Richard Farleigh looks like Prince Charming from Shrek 😂

They're not powered by water, they're *activated* by water, in other words there's a chemical already in there which reacts when water is added and produces an electric output. This isn't a green technology - it's just a battery with some water in it. Normal rechargeable batteries are more green than this because at least they avoid the landfill for longer.

The water isn't suitable for fish to swim in, so for that reason I'm trout

It's not "water powered". It is "water activated" and the water obviously dissolves some substance in the battery to make an electrolyte. That substance gets used up and ends up in the water which is poured down the sink. Not environmentally friendly, at all.

Richard Farley is usually quite a pragmatic and calm person. For him to get wound up like that, plus the nervous disposition of the pitch, says a lot.

The water for the water powered batteries comes from the sweat on his face.

The most fascinating part about this whole thing to me was learning that there are men called Vivian.

It seems like every 5 or 10 years someone "invents" the water battery.

The same thing being used since ancient Egyptian times, with some tweaks over the years.

Richard: I know that you know that you are trying to pull wool over our eyes
Peter: I don't find it devious, I think it's just overvalued
Duncan: I don't care 😂

He could use them to power a great invention I once saw called a “flow signal”

Entrepreneur: “hi this is my product”
Peter: 🙂
Entrepreneur: “it’s worth 3million”
Peter: 🙄

This must be Dragon’s Den in an alternate dimension because Peter is the good cop and Richard is the bad cop in this pitch

Richard Farleigh is usually such a gentleman and very respectful of the presenters. The reason he wasn't here was that he saw right through his bullshit, and I agree with Richard completely. Should anyone actually invent and patent a fully recyclable water activated battery with indefinite shelflife, he/she will be rich. Bill Gates rich!

That was verbal battery by the dragons. He just couldn’t cell it to them.

Me: I quite like this product
Dragon: I'm out
Me: I'm out too, trash.

Richard Farley was spot on about this guy, it looks like a total scam. The idea that his company was going to make improvements to battery technology is laughable.

I am afraid Richard Farleigh is correct. And he always is. The battery is a scam, it’s just water dissolve sth inside then provide mobile ions start some reactions etc. He works with professors in the Oxford University for tech start up projects, he is indeed an expert compare to Peter.

Even when he's insulted and annoyed, Richard is calm af.

Gives me confidence for my 'battery-powered water' pitch next month.
