Did I just destroy a Randall Made Knife?

Randall Made Knives Guards are ridiculously long and unnecessary. I’ve found my knives get a lot more use after I’ve shortened them. I highly recommend doing this. Don’t be afraid of these knives. Make them yours. Cut and grind on them to your liking. Just because it is the mythical Randall, does not mean you can't enjoy modifying it.

I've had a bucketfull of Randall's, both standard models and custom orders. They all came with forging marks all over the blades excepting the custom orders. At one time I had an extensive Randall collection. Ive seen Chinese made knives with better finishes
