How to Set Up Shipping Rates and Profile in Shopify Store (Full Tutorial)

In this video I’m going to show you how to add Shopify shipping rates for your Ecommerce store.

You can easily set up different shipping rates depending on your type of business, and there are three basic Shopify shipping rates that you need to learn. I will show you how to set them up in this video.

Shopify Free Shipping
This is the type of Shopify shipping rate where customers don't need to pay extra for the shipping of their order.

Flat Rate Shipping
Flat shipping rates charge a specific amount for shipping at checkout. You can create flat shipping rates for any order within a shipping zone (for example USA or Australia) or only for orders whose weight or price is within a certain range. For example, in a shipping zone for the US, you could set a flat rate of $15, and another flat rate of $10 for orders that are over $70.

Weight-Based Shipping
Also called Markup or discount calculated rates, the Shopify weight-based shipping rate means to mark up or discount the rates that your customers see at checkout. For example, if the rate is too high o to attract customers, then you could discount it by a certain percentage to increase sales, or increase it if the rate is too low to cover your packaging and handling costs.

You can mark up calculated shipping rates by an additional flat fee or by a percentage of the total shipping rate. For example, a $5.00 rate with 50% markup and a $1.00 flat fee costs the customer $8.50, not $9.00. On the other hand, if you want to offer discounted shipping, then enter a negative value, for example -5% or $-2.50.
