Wow what a beautiful episode. I have to be honest sometimes when I watch some of their episodes I stop watching them for a little because they are very blunt.
I always end up coming back to their podcast because They put me in check. They say the things we don’t like to hear. I love the life they lead. It’s very refreshing. Because a lot of the Christian community is still very much into materialistic things including ME. I’m slowly starting to desire letting go of worldly desires and admiring the family life, small life. Simple life. everything they say is so real.

i cannot put into words how thankful i am for you both and the amen podcast. i've been listening ever since i was saved 5 years ago, and what's amazing is that i never seem to outgrow it spiritually. that speaks volumes about how applicable your messages are to anyone, no matter where they are in their walk with Christ. Exact same as Lokelani! I don't know how to describe it, but I guess 'overthinking' and 'worry' is pretty close. I get overwhelmed quite easy and feel 'clouded' then. And then I struggle a lot with seeing God's glory and thus reflecting His glory to others. Slowing down and focusing on the moment helps a LOT. And most of all letting go of things I can't control and stuff which is so not important compared to Jesus.

We’re vulnerable at night when there’s more silence. This is when I study the Holy Writ better. I’m able to absorb and ponder upon the thoughts. What’s keeping me from sharing is possible hurting that persons feelings. And last night happened where I was studying Luke 1:37, “For with God nothing will be impossible.” It was revealed to me that we must take care of ourselves and while helping others and protecting oneself from becoming a part of others’ situation no matter what it may be.

I found you the other day, I had felt like, though I am active in reading my Bible and theological publications maybe not enough but still daily, I fell a need to draw even closer.. your knowledgeable simplicity is amazing and helped wake me up. Since then I pulled out my NLT off the shelf (God knows, I have every translation as well lol) and it hit home for me. I’m normally in the ESV, CSB or the NASB. But you are right with the simplicity of the NLT. I feel like the word is speaking directly to me because it speaks closer to my language I suppose .Thank you for your encouragement! I'm struggling to see God's glory because I'm seeking an extravangant calling more than I'm actually seeking him. And I struggle to reflect his glory because of selfishness and fear.

This revelation of God's glory is so freeing to me. It's becoming the thing that I keep coming back to whenever I feel overwhelmed by the struggles of Christian life.
