iOS 18 Speed Test on iPhone XR, 11, 12 and 13.

As expected, Apple released iOS 18 and 17.7 this Monday (September 16, 2024). It has been a while since I’ve been conducting these speed tests, primarily because I haven’t been able to observe significant differences from point release to point release or from beta to beta. However, whenever a new major release is out, I believe it’s essential to perform a test. So, I’ve done it.

I’ve conducted the tests on the iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12, and iPhone 13, as these are the only iOS 18-compatible devices I have two of. Going forward, it will likely be impossible for me to obtain two of each device, so these tests may become less practical. Great test. iPhone 12 appears to be slightly faster on some tasks in the new update.
Also the battery drop 2% on iOS 17, while kept fully on iOS 18. It’ll be a great battery test
