Autist here. These are sensory aids. You're in a completely different market here. I'm also a musician and HAVE to have plugs to go to any shows, wait til you see how expensive music specific hearing protection is. Earplugs will always be flatter than earbuds, people get less angry if they realize I'm wearing earplugs than earbuds, even if the buds aren't on because they assume I can't hear my surroundings. I used the Surefire EP-3s for years, but got tired of the stems falling out. I have the Loop Swytch and it's one of the only earplug cases that I can wear on my keychain without fear of the plugs falling out because they're so light. The case also has a texture that helps with meltdowns in public in the even that I do get overwhelmed by all the noise. They mention these features on their site. All the colors, very specific modes, etc etc, these are all things aimed at the Sensory Aid market.

I mean, if not for their aggressive advertising, I wouldn't have know this product existed. And because of this product, I enjoyed loud assemblies and loud concerts now than before. Thanks to this product.

A few thoughts.. I’m not sure that ear buds are the answer for hearing protection. I worked very loud industrial environments at the beginning of my tech career and we had to have certified hearing protection. There is a reason why these environments and shooting s ranges don’t allow you to wear your ear buds in place of ear plugs. The buds do reduce sound, but they do not provide percussive protection to the degree an ear plug designed for it does.

Also, while I understand that excessive advertising and marketing can seem suspicious, I don’t think it automatically means the company is selling an overpriced or bad product.
The Thursday boot company also advertises like this. And they have a relatively inexpensive product for their market and the amount of advertising they do. I picked up a pair of their boots and they’re a really good product.

I think it’s not unreasonable to put a significant portion of your budget into marketing your product. You have an incredibly massive amount of competition on the internet and you have to put yourself in front of people constantly in order to be remembered. People see so much information in a day now, that they only remember what they see often.

The same goes for having a successful YouTube channel. Gotta respect the algorithm and the human psychology behind marketing.

And yeah, sorry the ads annoy you but we don't really see Sensory Aids in any other way. It's not like we have a Sensory Aids store, we can just walk into and buy stuff. We're all using social media for advocacy and what not. These days, it's getting harder and harder to get any disability/sensory aids, especially if you're in a small town.

I think they could work for me because loud noises and music (on parties for exemple) makes me feel kinda dizzy and suffocate (more because of the loud base of the speaker) so something like the loop experience could help me but for that price I don't think it's worth it. But thank your for your honest opinion! ❤

I got one too…frankly speaking I think it cost like less than a dollar to make. I guess the packaging and the amount spent on advertising are what you are paying for.

Be careful with how long you use any ear buds. blocking can increase moisture and prevent ear wax from existing. This can cause fungal infections.

Just got my pair of quiet 2 version yesterday. And i really love it to use cause it's comfortable to use for studying or sleeping. Maybe i need some of those another pair of any version that i can use it for studying (quiet it's too silent and i can't hear other people when come to me 😅).
