🧘🏻‍♀️ Guided Imagery Meditation: The Beach 🏝🏖

Welcome back to my Guided Meditation Series!

This is one of my favorite types of meditation - the guided imagery meditation - especially when it involves visualizing a beautiful beach, like Kahala Beach here on Oahu. Guided imagery meditations can help you create a mental escape from the chaos of life with a focus on a sense of calm and peacefulness. Feel free to keep your eyes open or closed throughout the meditation, whichever feels right for you. Note: It may be easier for you to visualize your own version of the beach with your eyes closed. You can do this meditation anytime and anywhere - during a quick break in your workday, when you're stuck in a situation that isn't pleasant, when you wake up, right before you go to bed, and more. WARNING: It's so relaxing, it may put you to sleep ;)

During your life, you may encounter many duties and responsibilities for separate roles, such as being a boss, manager, employee, caregiver, father, mother, and more. You may encounter stressful events or hectic situations. It is easy to feel like you're stuck in a rut, with nowhere to go, or wishing you could take a break from life. Do you find yourself wishing you could be somewhere else, if even only for a brief moment? Do you forget to focus on your breathing sometimes? Fortunately, you can use this guided imagery meditation that incorporates breathing and visualization to focus on your breathing, daydream a bit, bring your attention to something relaxing, decrease stress, and bring calm to your day. I am referring clients to watch these videos. It is hard to find creative visualization videos that are nonspiritual in nature and for those clients who don't want spiritual practices I have had to hunt and hunt to find something. Thank you for having these available.

I'm currently working with my counselor and the prep work for EMDR. In the prep, I had to come up with a "safe" space I could go to. Basically, what I imagine, is based on this. So, once again, Thank you!

Thank you, Dr. Wu! My therapist recommended this GIT video of yours to help with my anxiety, depression, insomnia, and conversion disorder symptoms. I love everything about your video. Not only does this bring back wonderful childhood beach memories with my grandparents but also relaxes me to escape my issues and truly sleep peaceful. Plus, I play this whenever my anxiety gets too much. I wish I knew of this type of therapy years ago. I would not be in such an unhealthy mental, emotional and physical state as I am now. I do have hope now I will eventually get to a better place and enjoy life again. I highly recommend this video and GIT to anyone suffering with anxiety, depression, insomnia or stress. I keep coming back to this one. I've been asked to do some guided visualization meditations. Your voice is very soothing. I like the extra touch of the soft sound of the waves and even the seagulls when you mention them. It really helps me to be present on the beach. Very relaxing and healing. THANK YOU!
