One thing I didn't like about the franchise is that there were Karma Houdinis: Marco Fuentes, the blind drug dealer (spared for an absurd reason), the prison guard and the third murderer of Dexter's mothet. They could have given that the third murderer, instead of being killed for a business deal gone wrong, was killed directly by Dexter's brother. Not to mention the first two I mentioned. Especially Marco. I understand realism, but in a series like this certain things should be avoided.

I get tingles watching this trailer i love the show dexter so much and i was severly disappointed with their rushed season of dexter new blood and the way they ended his story which i thought was terrible bc they had so many spin off possibilities to nake with the show but with the way it ended i thought they would come out with a spin off of dexters kid growing up doing the same thing working the code in his own way but im so pleased they decided to do the prequel its such a good idea bc there will be lots on inticipation for seeing all the origional characters played by different new actors

way i see it, resurrection is likely to make both the ending of season 8 and season 9 feel as one long largely inconsequential detour- if it picks up, with batista bringing him back to miami, which would be the classic route to go and you consider that the backlash against new bloods ending likely means no harrison and if he came back, it would make new bloods ending also feel inconsequential, thematically- then again, someone still attempted to kill dexter and you cant give harrison a jail out of free card, because he had a fucked up childhood and his dad talked him into it....and even disregarding that can of worms, i do have a strong suspicion, that whoever the showrunner is will likely bring it back to the same formula, that all 9 seasons had and bring in yet another big bad, that will die by the end of the season, even though that should be dexter himself...what im getting here with this rant, is that if you flub it twice, you will have to try that much harder, to not fuck it up a third time (if resurrection is meant to be a one off)- season 9 immediately established the new status quo and while it was mostly good, viewed on its own, it also robbed the ending of season 8 of its supposed meaning, with dexter having to live alone, with what hes just hope whoever runs the show doesnt sweep most of what was established before under the rug again, so it can go back to the safe formula, much as i loved the original run, there should be a good reason for bringing it back, yet another time- and when it comes to original sin, ill pass, i dont see the prequel not fucking with, or needlessly convoluting the established lore and ending on such a note, that dexters characterization at the beginning of season 1 makes sense....also, i didnt see any sign of a young doakes, popping up....maybe theyll keep him a surprise, mothafucka

Does anyone besides me wonder what would have become of the origional series if Michael c hall never got cancer and they were forced to wrap up the show... i think it would have eventually got to repetitive and the shows fans would have fizzled off...not me though i would have been in for the duration i loved dexter and i was surprised they got 8 seasons out of the origional series but i would have sacrificed my right nut for them to push out a couple more seasons of the origional dexter series lol
