I have been doing this for years. I use a regular towel on a corn broom and a hair tie instead of clothes pins. Excellent for edging carpet also.

I use those swiffer mops, instead i use that same cloth your using and connect it to those 4 cuts on top the swiffer mop area, then i spray a organic cleaner like Melaleuca tough N tender or amway LOC both of these with WATER, and wipe the area's which requires a ladder...this method works great too to remove grease or mildew on ceilings, or use a organic cleaner and dilute it with Clorox liquid, mix in the spray bottle and spray your cloth that is on your swiffer...works instead of a broom!!!!

You mentioned spraying fabric softener on the towel. Make sure the towel you are using is not a microfiber towel since fabric softener ruins the absornancey of the towel.

Thanks so much for this genius idea. I usually use floor cleaner or plain water with big sea salt n turmeric dissolved in it or in vinegar or in fabric softener onto a used absorbent towel not a Microfibre towel
