This video explains the anatomy and osteology of the intermediate cuneiform. A left bone is used.
1) Superior Surface -- an accessory ossicle (os intercuneiform) may be present at the posteromedial aspect
2) Medial Surface -- L shaped articular facet
3) Lateral Surface -- Elongated articular facet
4) Anterior Surface -- triangular shape (apex inferior)
5) Posterior Surface -- triangular shape (apex inferior)
6) Primary Center of Ossification -- 1 year of age
