24 hours SOLO car camp on Skye // DRAMA Sunrise over the Cuillins, Sligachan Falls, Duscaith Castle

In mid October I jumped into my car and drove to Skye. This 320 mile (515 km) road trip brought me to Sligachan, Portree, and the Sleat peninsula to see the Dunscaith Castle Ruins. It was a spontaneous trip, so I slept in my car in order to watch the sunrise over the Cuillin hills, a mountain range famous for it's jagged peaks and nearby enchanted falls. Nature photography is something that helps relax me and also bring home amazing pieces of the experience. #isleofskye #scotland #roadtrip

This one was really stunning!!! The views are amazing! I loved some of those twisty trees but I'm a bit tree obsessed these days. I wish I could have seen that castle back in the day!...I don't know if you would ever consider a dumbed down tutorial for photographing or doing videos outside I get a little lost in ISO etc and changing light!...thank you so much for all the beautiful content, Sarah!

I am covered in goosebumps and have cried more than I would like to admit watching this. I shared with you awhile back that I recently learned my family can trace their lineage back to Skye, and what I've learned since then is that I'm related to a crazy amount of chiefs and lairds and specifically Dunvegan as well as a few other castles in that area. As I'm watching this I imagine that my ancestors must have visited Dunscaith during their lives, and it's like I can feel something in my very DNA awakening. I can't thank you enough for sharing this. Also on the artistic side of things your cinematography is just truly breath-taking and stunning and I'll be watching this over and over again!
