Trump Says US Is Taking Back the Panama Canal

President Donald Trump spoke about the Panama Canal during his inaugural address. “China is operating the Panama Canal, and we didn’t give it to China. We gave it to Panama, and we’re taking it back," Trump said in Washington. Panama’s government has repeatedly denied that there is any Chinese presence in the canal, and Trump hasn’t yet produced any evidence to contradict this.

It ain't true. He isn't going to take back Panama. We have it stated in the 1904 treaty and the 1977 treaty that on December 31, 1999, the canal would be returned to Panama.
