Here are the 3 most reliable BMW engines of ALL TIME. First is the BMW e90/e92 M3. This engine had rod bearings that were super strong & reinforced the reliability of the engine. Second is the BMW F80 M3, F82 M4, and F87 M2 S55 engine because of its crankhub technology that acts like Honda vtec to spin super fast and give the car and antilag effect. First gen N63 missing from this list. Turbos are placed in an extremely efficient spot to maximize cooling and eliminates any possibly of turbo failure leading to engine failure

With 215, 000 km on the clock . . . no leaks, has never left me stranded on the road. Rock solid cast iron cylinder block . . . 2494 cc . . . 192hp . . . high low-end torque. Mated to the factory Getrag 265 5-speed close-ratio manual gearbox. Often hurtle 230 km/h on the expressway with the engine asking for more. Great touring car.

Bro forgot to mention the early N63. Those thing were probably the most reliable engines bmw ever made. it would BLOW your mind how reliable these engines were. They used to call them a ticking time bomb because of how much EXPLOSIVE power these had.

B58 is a true tank of an engine on any bmw guys. Thats a proper tough engine so if u want a bullet proof bmw by one with that engine in it. In stick of course. You will not be in the shop for much more then an oil change. If only i could say the same for my beloved n54
