Hey Matt, I didn't hear this cover in the Q&A. I'm a 2016 focus st owner, and really enjoy the car. Now with everyone raving about the RS, it's making me take a look. So I'm debating with myself if I should go for one when the 2017 model comes out. The RS is roughly 10k more than the ST. So my question is- is it worth the extra money? Is it 10k more fun? I know it's faster, but the fun factor is what I worry about. The interior is exactly the same aside from some blue stitching. So is the drive train really that good? Ahh I just don't know. Any thoughts?

I'm quite surprised by this, but I've never heard a less educated statement from you than at 1:41:00 saying "modding a car will *ALWAYS* make it more unreliable* - I'm not even going to get into the discussion of how you and the rest of the ecoboost guys were using garbage canned tunes which have hit or miss reliability instead of actually dyno tuning it, but that aside, if you're pushing 200hp more than original intended then sure, reliability will definitely not be as high, but if you're pushing 75hp or so over stock on a cast iron block with deep ringlands like those there won't even be a HINT of unreliability (over stock) and at that point it's more in the hands of the person maintaining it (oil changes and what-not) than the tune.

So yeah, I know you hate modifying cars, but you did it wrong (you did the budget/hack method as did most of those other ecoboost guys), and spewing stupid comments like it always makes it more unreliable is just screaming about your lack of knowledge in the car modification world. It's unlike you to comment on stuff you don't know about or make stupid comments like that, so I'll totally give you a pass on this, but just thought I'd let you know for future. The flash canned tuning stuff you did is incredibly budget friendly and ill-advised and should only really be used as a base tune.
