@Russian_Reaction  So, to be more detailed, there are 4 yugas or eons according to Hinduism:

1. Sata Yuga
2. Treyata Yuga
3. Dwapara Yuga
4. Kali Yuga.

The avatars that many of them are referring to means incarnation. Lord Vishnu incarnates in different forms as human (yes his human forms can bleed, and die too. because it's the rule made by lord Vishnu himself that one who takes birth has to die. So even gods when reincarnate they have to die. rules are same for everyone) to maintain the good and destroy the evil.

In Sata yuga, Lord Vishnu took 4 incarnations (or avatars in hindi):
1. Matsya avatar (a fish)
2. Kurma avatar (a turtle)
3. Varaha avatar (a boar)
4. Narsimha avatar (body of human and head of Lion)

In Treyata yuga, Lord Vishnu took 3 avatars:
5. Vamana (a dwarf human)
6. Parashuram (a human)
7. Ram (a human) (you may have heard of Lord Ram/Rama)

In Dwapara Yuga, Lord Vishnu took 1 avatar
8. Krishna (or Lord Krishna)

In Kali Yuga ( which is the present one), Lord Vishnu is already incarnated as
9. Lord Buddha (with whom the Buddhism emerged)

and one is yet to come
10. Lord Kalki.

these are the 10 Avatars or incarnations of Lord Vishnu known as Dashavatar. ( Dash : 10; Avatar : Incarnation)

Kaliyuga has a total of 432, 000 years out of which 5, 125 has only, passed. So ofcourse Lord kalki isn't going to incarnate in 2898 AD, it's way more than that.

Now what after the end of this yuga?

well After Lord Kalki defeats Kali a huge destruction will come in the form of Tsunami to wipe out all the Humanity but here is a twist. Lord Vishnu will again incarnate as Matsya Avatar (a big fish), the first of his incarnations among the 10 and all the good and wise people will be residing over that fish until the end of the Tsunami and again the Satya yuga will be established.

So, basically its a cycle and human being has to break the matrix and come out of the cycle of birth and death.

And don't worry. S S Rajamouli (the director of RRR, Bahubali, Eega) may soon announce his project on Mahabharata (that has many connections with this movie).
