Kings of War 3rd Edition Dwarfs Preview!

Each dwarf hold supports its own military, with many residents possessing skills at arms. In times of war, these warriors are mustered into regiments with their close kin, creating a well-drilled and powerful fighting force on the battlefield. Once their honour has been satisfied and victory achieved, many will go back to their peaceful lives, with few dwarfs remaining as a standing military between conflicts.

Thank you for doing these videos. As a new player really appreciate your previews, have pre-ordered the new two player box set and I'm just waiting for you to do Nightstalkers so I can decide which faction to go with...

Without any other fast option, how does toning down the only option ( Brocks) help the Dwarf list? Movement is King in the game. 4 Spd is enough of a handicap, what do Dwarfs get to make up for it? 1 or 2 points of Nerve will not help when you are more easily flanked and your opponent can pick his fights better than you.
I'm still hoping but this preview makes me a bit sad.

I really like how they are making more units viable and nerfing the super strong ones.

The Brock's nerve drop is atrocious.
I like the change to Berserkers on foot -- they're great. Not sure they make up for Brocks, though. What a terrible choice.

I really hope there is a focus on Ironclads, Shieldbreakers, Ironguard etc.

I notice that so much focus the last few years is in everything in the list that isn't a grumpy little dwarf, when that is the reason everyone gets into the army in the first place.

When powergaming involves taking more of the iconic rank and file instead of the exotic one-ofs, gaming usually ends up in a good place.

How about Headstrong? Any change? It is weak compared to other army rules- Elite, Vicious, Pathfinder, Crushing Strength.
It seems Goblins are losing Yellow belly- so that's a bonus for them.
Headstrong?

It's been a long time since I've played Kings of War, but I'm a bit surprised to see them nerfing Brock Riders without apparently improving the other Dwarfen options much at all. When I played, the consensus was that Brock Riders weren't relied upon because they were great, but because the rest of the army was pretty bad, frankly; with KoW's heavy reliance upon movement and positioning, the slowness of Dwarfs often made their infantry utterly inferior to most other armies, and the best way to get around that was by focusing on faster units, like Brock Riders and Elementals.

Perhaps things have changed since I last played KoW. I hope so, because if not this sounds to me like these changes may be enough to nerf Dwarfs into unplayability.

Bersekers infantry are irregulars, Brock riders doesn´t. Reduce nerve for 15 points makes then even more attractive. Dunno whats the point to get infantry option if cavalry version is huge better
