Cheap Brushless ESC STILL RUNS WITH 3 BURNED FETS!!! WTF!!!

I have reason to believe that I made at least 10 successful flights with at least 1 burned fet, 2 days ago the ESC caught fire, today I decided to replace it but figured a fire show would be cool so plugged in the battery. Well, it worked. The motor sounded weird and wouldn't spin very fast but it spun and there was no fire!!
