Dana White tells a story when Joe Rogan was being canceled and the UFC didn't want him as a commentator.

Joe Rogan, the renowned comedian, podcast host, and longtime commentator for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), faced a significant cancellation attempt that threatened his career and his association with the UFC. This period highlighted the loyalty and solidarity between Rogan and UFC President Dana White.

Joe Rogan, known for his candid and often controversial views, found himself at the center of a public backlash due to remarks and content from his immensely popular podcast, "The Joe Rogan Experience." Various groups and individuals criticized Rogan for hosting controversial figures and for certain statements he made, which some perceived as offensive or inappropriate. This led to calls for his cancellation, with increasing pressure on the UFC and its partners to sever ties with him.

Dana White, known for his outspoken nature and unwavering support for his team, faced considerable pressure during this time. However, White's loyalty to Rogan was unwavering. He made it clear that Rogan's contributions to the UFC were invaluable and that he stood by his longtime friend and colleague. White's stance was succinct and resolute: if Joe Rogan was forced out, he would leave the UFC as well.

Dana White's firm support played a crucial role in quelling the internal push to cut ties with Rogan. The UFC retained Rogan as a commentator, and the incident reinforced the strong culture of loyalty within the organization. It also enhanced the public's perception of Dana White as a leader who stands by his team, even in the face of substantial external and internal pressures.

He also didn't lay off anyone during Covid. He said if the ship is going down, we're all going together. That says it all.

Dana seems to support his people pretty well. I recall another story about the beginning of the COVID shutdowns, where he got out in front of it and told all his people right away "We don't know exactly how it's gonna work yet, but nobody freak out. Nobody's losing their jobs, everybody's getting paid, we're gonna figure it out." And not a single UFC employee had to collect a government cheque through the whole deal.

Dana White is far from perfect, but a guy who steps up and looks after his people like that is absolutely a guy I'd work for.

Loyalty yes but he saw through the absolute bs for them wanting him cancelled. That's what is impressive!

Good story. Rogan is as crucial to their success as any of the fighters. He's enthusiastic, and he does a great job explaining what's going on for the average viewer.
