In a conversation with Liz, worship leaders Charlie and Jill open up about their own journey of grief after losing their son and how they found healing and purpose in serving the body of Christ. In a world that often shies away from the pain of grief, their message is a reminder that healing is possible, and hope can be found even in the darkest of times.

Jill and Charlie, I'm so grateful for your authentic emotions and your willingness to be real. No Christianese here.
Thank you both for the sacrifice of your beautiful hearts for those of us who have this heartbreak 💔. My brother was killed at age 13, and my mam was never the same. We were irrevocably altered. The Lord does bring beauty from the ashes, but it takes a long time. God bless you both for much needed openness and Liz for being ever sensitive

Lost my 36 yr old son from a brain tumor 2 yrs ago. I was not allowed to go to his funeral. 😭. We were estranged for 27 yrs. So many years of prayer and hoping for restoration. BUT God miraculously and supernaturally met with me. Psalms 139. Thank you for your vulnerability. It gives me strength as you shared. 😢

Someone here mentioned Liz’ compassion during this interview and yes this is very apparent. Liz you are amazing. I have learned so much watching all your interviews. Discovered you and subscribed to this channel when my husband passed in January. Hope to meet you some day!

The Father said that He is carrying me like a mother carries her baby in her womb in this time of great loss. Just before my daughter died in Oct last year, Liz said to not fear the sufferings in our lives. God's kindness will bring healing. No one can comfort me like He does. I am so grateful for Him.

Oh, my. Thank you both for sharing your hearts. Brilliant and harrowing. Your book needed to be written. That's for sure.
Grieving truly is a learning curve. Bitter - sweet. Some close friends of my husband - mature, influencial Christians lovingly said: N___ will always be with you. 😱EH? (I wouldn't be in this mess if he was.) Some even said I was very strong.🤔 EH? They didn't see me spend an entire year in the foetal position. But God did.🎉 Yay. He/Ishi has spoken much to me, since. E.g. Never forget how hard it has been. (In relation to being truthful when others in deep mourning need me.)
We will, again, worship the Lord together with our beloved ones.
❤️💙❤️🩵

Thank you for having your friends on to speak of the grief they experienced in the loss of their son. Grief is so odd. Never the same but at the same time, kind of the same. It’s been 15 years since my husband went Home. The journey, from this side now, has been a lot of learning, a lot of love, a lot of comfort from the Lord, even at the oddest moments. When my sister told me 3 months post his Home going, one day you will be reaching back to the next one because of what you have been through. Prophetic words . . . Just like your friends shared, you don’t fix grievers. Love on them. ☺️. ❤️

It was January 2021 when my best friend, Natalie, took her life. Jill is so right, it never goes away. I definitely need to buy this book! As a single person, Nat was the person I went to with everything and she did the same with me because she was so unhappy in her marriage. It made our relationship very different to any other married friend I had. The longer I live without her, the more I feel her loss in new ways because her position in my life hasn't been replaced. I'm desperately seeking God, but so often feel forgotten and desperate with unanswered prayer. Grief can be so lonely when you already lonely.
