I don’t think you realise how much you’ll miss it once it’s gone. I did the same around a year ago. Thought it was the right decision to move my defender 90 on, and when it went a piece of me died inside. I’ve been pining for another ever since!

Amazing build, lovey spec. A desirable style 100%. But very common.

NEXT build should be something very unique. One off build.

Owned mine for 15 years did over 200k together for both work and leisure. Literally spent £000s on mods. But you get to a point where the number of reported daily thefts on sites like Landywatch and the ball ache of taking off steering locks, pedal locks, gear lever locks, remembering to switch on fuel pump hidden switch, monthly DD for tracker etc etc overtakes your love for your truck. Somebody comes along and makes you a good offer and you think I’ve had my fun, time to let somebody else takeover!
Take lots of off-road action photos and frame them for hanging in your man cave and the memories will live on!

After watching your videos of the build it inspired me to buy another Landrover after not having one for 20 years. I had a real barn find moment with a very beat up 90. We have it back on the road now and there is a stark contrast to before and after. If you like I’ll send you before and after pics

Have been following this for a while. I’m from Australia and we live our gear. Was over in UK in July seeing family and hoped to reach out but ran out of time. Had a Discovery series 1 that I tricked up for camping. Love these cars!!

I am only on my second Defender, changed the first one when the chassis was going. The second one a 300TDi when the chassis was going after about 10 years I had it changed to a Galvanised chassis. I don't really want to part with the vehicle and want to keep it as a standard 300TDi. I am not into tarting up Defenders, it is a tool and now I am going to Lanolin coat the underside, even though the chassis is a galvanised protected. Adding wax cant do any harm.

my personal ultimate dream is to buy/build a td5 defender 130 ambulance off-grid camper :) i have had my 90 for 8 years and just couldn't bare to think about selling it. i wish all the best in the new project and will always be supporting!!
