Don't throw anything out until you've watched this video! It's officially spring - So here are a plant care tips and tasks to help your plants get off to the best start this season. Did you know... some plants can go completely dormant and 'die' back to the bulb or corm. So I've got a few things you can check to see if your bulbs/corms will grow or if they're dead. They might just need some water, light and the right temperature to wake up. I use the examples of Colocasias, Alocasias, Oxalis and Caladiums.

I'll also cover a few tasks you might want to do now before plants start to actively grow again, so you don't need to disturb them during the growing season.

If you've found this useful, I've linked my Caladium video at the end, which is a full guide to plant Caladium bulbs, checking if they're healthy and how to care for Caladiums.

I have new videos every week, usually on a Sunday. My previous videos cover things like complete plant care guides, plant lists, plan unboxing videos, plant projects and just about anything else plant related! So, if you like all things houseplants, then consider subscribing.

If you've got any questions or would like to share anything, add it to the comments and I'll respond to every one.

As always, thank you for watching Grow Your Wellbeing.

Thanks for the great tips! Always assumed if the main corm was dead it wouldn’t have had enough energy to create offshoot corms, so good lesson!

Gosh! Thank you for this comprehensive explanation and all the tips. I see my Frydek returning and possible hope for a Bambino. I’m going to look through the soil tomorrow. This is like a treasure hunt!
