As an Australian, I'd appreciate you not telling any (more) Americans about Australia for fear that they will want to come here and f^ck it up here as well.

Australians live by a British system. Thank God for that,
Working in the US was an absolute nightmare, I felt like slavery was still alive and well. That's no way to live, no wonder there are so many unstable individuals.

The minimum wage part is funny because over the years American's online have told me that our minimum wage doesn't matter because of the currency conversion, but I'm pretty sure that places in the US where minimum wage is like $8usd don't measure up to our national minimum wage of $23.

Hell, as a 16 year old working part time at Coles I was just barely out earning adults in the US at least in regards to hourly pay.

This is what a normal democracy should look like. Worker rights and protections.

I worked in big industry for the major part of my career. The golden rules were 1) Don't assault another employee. 2) Don't get caught stealing company property. 3) Don't get caught passing on any company secrets about the company's product or activities. 4) Don't personally offend a high-ranking manager. If you could steer clear of these things then you were pretty much guaranteed not to ever get fired.

Nice to hear your point of view 😮🇦🇺😎
Can’t get over that in the USA they don’t get 4 weeks holiday a year - 😮

We pay proper wages or salaries, hence no tipping needed. We also all pay into a medical fund, medicare and into Retirement funds from 18 years old. Our Employer pays and we usually add to it. Everyone here can have medical treatment, not just those insured. Our drug prescriptions can cost as little as $7.70 for certain groups.

Thank you for being honest. I was in US many years ago. I stayed in Sacramento and LA for two weeks. It was so scary with gun killings, my sisters house, they have a gun her husband alcoholic and it was too scary.
