there's also a live action adaptation but I haven't watched it because I'm not sure I want to see all that pain again 😃 or whether it will be shown well at all.

it was depressing af but actually, a hopeful message in the end, too. so something of a bittersweet ending, I'd say.

I read this when i was 13/14. It has a long ass original title and i was never good with memorization. But the story left a big impact on me (the art too, it’s magnificent) that I still remember it till this day. Made me cry a ton. The mangaka has great works too, like “My Girl”
