I've loved this song sung by Nat King Cole for over fifty years. Alfie Boe version is very close to Cole's and I have to say, for me, Alfie's version is perfection.

Just read in his autobiography that he recorded this in one take right after he learned that Sarah was pregnant (with baby Alfie). They were on opposite sides of the Atlantic, so were communicating via text and email. He said that he felt an extreme sense of peace and serenity when he stepped into the recording booth. 3 1/2 minutes later he had recorded this perfection with his great love for his wife and family flooding his heart (and voice).
