Tegami Bachi is so underrated! It’s one of my favorite titles and the anime is so good too. I hope you will get the rest of the volumes!

I collect the same way you do...bargain hunt out of order. Second hand manga is awesome. It lets me buy so much more of it and then when series suddenly go OOP and HTF I'm more likely to have them already...

Yes I’ve read the first volume of Tegami Bachi & loved it! I recently got the second volume second hand but we’ll see about getting more haha — I wish you luck on finding them as well!

I’ve also been seeing Ajin everywhere! Considering how many people praise it hopefully you enjoy it too .. I think i may try it sometime soon, we’ll see

I love tegami bachi so much- I only have random volumes and I too am suffering from the unavailability

But I watched the anime so long ago and eager to finish my collection 💖 love the haul btw- a fellow second hand enthusiast! I personally recommend the anime over the manga of Natsumes book of friends, but that’s just me

I get a decent amount of second hand manga. Out of probably hundreds of books, only one came in really horrible condition (and it was listed as 'like new'!). I took pictures and complained and they ended up refunding me, it was for an oop omnibus so it wasn't exactly cheap. That said, everything else I've gotten has been pretty good. I've gotten quite a few ex-library editions and gotten really good at removing the stickers. Isopropyl alcohol works really good at getting the sticky from stickers off, and nowadays I just rub down all of the books that come in because some of them, like that one book you got, have mystery gunk on them. I also have a nice set of alcohol markers and have started into the habit of fixing spines and edges. I can color match quite good and once I'm done with a volume you usually can't tell it has mars unless you look closely. Considering I can buy new books and still have scuffed spines, etc, I've come to accept used manga a lot more.

If you haven't heard of The Sorcerer King of Destruction and the Golem of the Barbarian Queen is another isekai series I just bought 1&2 the art just caught my eye.
